Need ladies' advice on jeans for my wife

My wife has many pairs of jeans that she likes, but she doesn't think any of them are absolutely perfect. I want to get her a pair that she'll love for Christmas. Now, I know I'll have to take her to try some on to get a good fit so it won't really be a surprise, but I'm wondering what types of brands to start with. She's 5'6" 120 lbs. She has an ass, but it's not big by any means. She has a tiny waist, and her legs are fairly slender, but not twigs.

You're about to slide down a slippery slope.

I say give her cash and let her go.

+1 to the giving her cash and letting her do her own thing. I know that out of all their clothes, my girlfriend (and most women I know in general) is the most finicky about jeans. You'll have plenty of fun watching her trying them on

I find the trick is to get a few sizes too big, that way she doesn't feel fat if she can't fit in to them

Ditto to DrNick's comments.

In the fleet: 2009 MS3 Cobb AP, CAI, James Barone rear sway bar, CP-e rear motor mount, Sure Motorsports Short Cut, Street Unit TMIC, ARP wheel studs, SS Brake lines, 1996 Bronco mildly modified, 2003 Ford F250 SD 4x4, 2009 Mercedes Benz C300, 1984 VW GTI Race Car

That would seem to make sense, however it doesn't. If you buy a bigger size than she normally wear, you're gonna get the "you think I'm that fat?" routine.

Re: Need ladies' advice on jeans for my wife

I guess I'll chime in here....

While your sentiments are appreciated, unless you walk a mile in her shoes, err jeans, I think it would be best to perhaps go shopping with her and pay for the jeans then. Buying a size that doesn't fit quite right, won't work too well.

Would you really be able to pick out the style she prefers? There is low rise, boot cut, straight leg and so on....the options are endless!
