For Guitar Players...

I was changing out the strings on my guitar today and figured I'd make a thread for us players. Post what stings you like to use, and whatever else you want.

On my Ibanez Electric (S-S-H) setup I put on some new Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings, had Super Slinky's on before and they were nice, but were buzzing a bit too much. My pickups are 3/16" away from the strings, which I'm going to play around with tomorrow, just to play around with the tone a bit.

On my Ibanez Acoustic I have GHS Bright Bronze Extra Lights (would do regular, but I got the guitar for free with a broken headstock and don't want to use heavier strings because I don't want to have the headstock break again).

This is how I got it:

Don't have an after picture right now, so this is close to showing most of it. (my cat matches the guitar... )

Wanna buy my electric? I'm looking to get a semi-hollow for myself soon.

I use Ernie Ball .10's mostly on my Schecter C-1 Hellraiser, a 92' Gibson V, ESP and an Ovation acoustic electric.

Re: For Guitar Players...

I have cleartone 10's on my Warlock... used to use elixer 10's until i was introduced to the cleartones. My schecter Omen has whatever strings came on it from guitar center, and it's unfortunate i don't know what they are because they are by FAR my favorite strings i've ever played. My Warlock has a seymour duncan George Lynch Screamin' demon in bridge position and the factory pickup in neck. my schecter still has whatever pickups came in it (i haven't had the schecter but a few months). I will vouch for schecter and definately buy again in the future as mine is a low-end schecter and plays like a dream... a smooth, sleek, well rounded dream. the unfortunate part is that i haven't touched my warlock since buying the schecter.

as far as equipment, i keep it simple. PodXT which i run directly into a custom stage PA i built to use live. the sound is unique, but VERY professional sounding. i LOVED the sound live. it was funny the first time i took a PA on stage for guitar and the guy comes to mic it and just gives me a "WTF?!" look. was priceless

Re: For Guitar Players...

On my epiphone I use Martin SP lights. The SP series have a brass coating on the B and high E strings which gives them a little richer tone.
