Good value booze!

I'd caught wind of some very positive reviews of svedka vodka, so I made a switch from my usual smirnoff to try the svedka a few days ago.
Well, I'm impressed. Mixes much smoother and is much more transparent than my old choice. It's cheaper, too. Win-Win. I'm sold.
I'm sure that the three olives/grey goose types are better, but I'd really rather not spend >$20 on a 750ml.

Who has a good tip on other hard alch? Maybe some scotch? I'm looking for something other than JW & Dewars white. Maybe a single.

Re: Good value booze!

Wasn't that voted the best vodka of 2033? I also hear that once you go fembot, you never go back

Corallejo tequila. ~$30/750 is smooth salty and a little citrusy. It's a sipping tequila.
Bacardi Anejo. ~$20/750 a pretty inexpensive rum with a spicy flavor. Good for mixing.

Re: Good value booze!

I'm a huge fan of Sailor Jerry spiced rum. It's around $30 for a 1.75, so a bit more expensive than Capt Morgan, but it's 92 proof and quite a bit tastier IMO.

Re: Good value booze!

For Vodka, I would go with Finlandia if you want a good vodka that doesnt cost too much. I get a 1.75 for about $34.

Can't stand gin at all.

Vodka - Popov for CHEAP, Grey Goose/Zero for money
Taste - Boone's Farm Blue Hawaiian. Straight up blue kool-aid. Delicious.

Re: Good value booze!

skyy vodka. Not too expensive and tasty for mixing.... I actually got it on sale for $15 for a 1.75 one time. I also have a bottle of grey goose (got it at a duty free shop, so it wasn't expensive) that I use for martini's/less mixed drinks.

Re: Good value booze!

Ciroc and Ketel One are IMO the best vodkas.

Ciroc is produced from grapes and is distilled 5 times. Very smooth and lower in price than Chopin, Grey Goose etc.

Ketel One is from potatoes and distilled 4 times. Priced less than Ciroc but still smooth.

I enjoy them both and without hangover which I do get from alcohol derived from grain.
