One thing I absolutely HATE about driving in the summer.

Groups of asshats on motorcycles.

They are pretty bad around here & it's usually the Harley/Chopper riders who are the worst. It seems like alot of times since they are smaller than cars they can own the road & if they run into you, it's your fault. I was going down an interstate and driving in the right lane. A group of bikes came up on my left & I guess needed to get off at the next exit. Well, they could have all passed & went around me since they had 1/2 mile till the exit, but a few in the front decide to drift over in my lane and get closer and closer to my car. They got so close that I really had no choice other than to move over onto the shoulder and slow down. They flew past me and exited the highway. There wasn't much I could do since there were 15 of them, other than call the highway patrol line and report them. I know all of them aren't like that, but I've had this happen to me last summer.

Even though I hate the cold, at least the road is free of crazy riders when it's zero degrees out in January.

I totally agree with you. There's a majority of riders that actually obey laws and all, but that small majority is what makes people hate them so much. We've got the Sturgis rally and I actually dread the summer because of the small amount of stupid idiots who come through on their bikes. Last summer I worked in the hospital ICU in town and it was unbelievable the amount of people coming in due to motorcycle accidents.

it really goes both ways. There are also alot of stupid automobile drivers so bikes have it bad in that regard. It tends to be the noobies that are stupid on bikes. Really the people that pay are the good operators of both vehicles.

people on crotch rockets who try to thread the needle on the highway when traffic is moving at like 75+ is more annoying... especially when you have to slam on the brakes to keep from having a new hood ornament.

Re: One thing I absolutely HATE about driving in the summer.

Bikers have become more and more intolerable around here. First off, no one wants to here you pipe your POS Harley that sounds like a farting civic. What, will your bike explode if you don't rev it every 2 seconds? Second, just because you have 2 wheels instead of 4 doesn't mean that lanes and traffic laws dont apply to you, bastards. You cut me off then slam on your brakes and weave around like a douche, I'm gonna treat you like a regular driver. Oh, and WEAR A DAMN HELMET.
