What's your favorite coffee/tea?

Being a college student, and an architect major last year, my coffee consumption went up haha.
Decided to make a thread about what your favorite(s) is/are.

Right now, I have a big bag of Starbucks Espresso Dark Roast coffee that I got for 45% off. It's not bad, but it's not the best. I like Gold Coast Blend and Italian Roast better. So far though, the best tasting coffee I've had I got from Sam's Club. It's from Hawaii and comes in huge bags. I took some from home to bring here and it has a great taste.

I also drink my coffee black, with no sugar. My friends find it odd, but I'm not a fan of the super sweet milked down mixed drinks that Starbucks/Tim Hortons/Biggby sell, unless I want a sweet drink. My suitemate also has one of those Senseo machines with the coffee pods. I tried it and personaly think that the "Bold" roast tastes like Mild/Medium Maxwell House roast. Personal flavor choice I guess.

Other than coffee, I drink a lot of tea, which I seem to be the only one lol. I'll put the blame on being born in Europe. I really don't have a huge preference on tea, I guess it depends on the mood I'm in. Some of my favorites are; Cinnamon Spice (sometimes w/ apple), Chamomile, regular Green Tea, Black Tea w/ Ceylon Rose. As I look up at my teabag collection I think I've got at least 5 boxes with probably 10 different flavors.

My parents gave me their old coffeemaker to take to college, and it also has an espresso maker on the side. I tried putting in some of the Espresso Roast coffee grounds and making some espresso this morning... I was impressed at the strength lol. Even though it wasn't true espresso grind, it was pretty strong.

Cleverly disguised as a responsible college student...

1. Blue Mountain (from Jamaica)
2. Peet's Coffee
3. Green Mountain
4. Maxwell House
5. Whatever someone brewed at the hospital
6. Folger's

I had some coffee in Hawaii once and I would rank it right up there with #1. Damn good coffee!

Re: What's your favorite coffee/tea?

I tend to go with more boutique Earl Grey teas (and others). I don't generally just buy, say twinnings from the groccery store. In general I prefer a black tea for breakfast, a green tea for lunch and dinner or after dinner it is a toss up, but a white tea can often be a nice accent with desert or just winding down my day.

I am also a fan of a lot of herbal teas, such as chamomile or chamomile/mint blends. I make my own chamomile/spearmint tea from herbs I grow.

For coffees, meh. I don't drink much coffee. Maxwell house instant is fine by me. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate a really good roast and fresh ground coffee, its just that I drink it so rarely that I am either getting a really nice cup with a fancy meal while I am on vacation, or else I am drinking it because I need the caffine and then intant is okay.

I don't actually drink that much tea either, probably only 4-5 cups a week and half of it herbal. I tend to drink a lot more tea when on vacation.

Re: What's your favorite coffee/tea?

I loves me some Starbucks Pike Place.

now at work I'm forced to drink Flavia Italian Roast. I have to brew one packet as "espresso shot" and one on regular coffee to get the right strength. I'll come up with a solution to this one day, but for now, courage.

Re: What's your favorite coffee/tea?

If you have a Trader Joes grocery store near you, they have very good coffees. I always buy whole bean and grind myself. No sugar but just some half&half.

For a more common, everybody-can-find-it brand, I've found the Eight O'Clock brand is a pretty good bang for the buck. I like their regular red bag or columbian brown bag.
