so i got a ? for you turbo guys

so i have an 84 trans am(stop booing)i kindof got as a present.long story short.
so here it is, it has a 305 chevy small block with a 4 barrel quad jet on it, no fancy wiring or anything(and i dont care if it blows, just swap it for a 350 or a 383)
700r automatic transmission(plenty of build kits for these)
and it should be a 10 bolt rear axle(i have a haynes manuel with all the info written down bout it,just to lazy to go get it)
so enough reading, here it is, the headers go into a y pipe shortly after going around the tranny, and since i dont give a damn about emissions, or popping the stock engine....
would it be possible to weld a flange and waste gate on the new y pipe
add a t3/t4 turbo
mount the tubing to run it to an inter cooler in front
put a blow off valve on
do a carb cap to pressurize the whole system
finish routing the exhuast
do the oil feed lines off by the oil pump, the return lines will be a breeze, and add a electric oil pump if it sits lower than the oil pan
and upgrade the fuel pump and oil pump
run vacuum lines and coolant lines and all those

and set it for about 5 psi, and just bust out the a/f moniter and hit the adjuster screws on the carb? i think im missing one or two parts here for this...but im tired, and im just trying to keep busy....just throwing it out there. any help would be appreciated

I never change my oil now that I'm boosted. Before I put on my stage 3, I had my engine teflon plated...it allows me to not use oil plus its guaranteed nonstick...

lol.

look and see what they use. Steal their ideas, make it work for you.

You are trying to do a rear mounted turbo setup correct? Have you heard of STS turbo systems? The problem with rear mounting a turbo is that you have to size the piping correctly to diminish the horrbile turbo lag that much piping could create.
STS is pretty much the king of rear mounted turbos.

Re: so i got a ? for you turbo guys

One thing I noticed that you missed. You need a boost sensitive fuel pressure regulator. On carb cars your fuel pressure needs to stay 6psi above the boost level you are at. I have a 69 camaro with a 383 stroker that I run a paxton nova 2000 on. running 10psi.
