Need Interview Help...

To make a long-story short I'm applying for a Unit Manager position at a finance company I work for.
My current manager is pushing for me and has been helping me out with mock interviews and practice questions of what to expect. We both realize that answers have to come from me and not him so he has not provided me with anything other than suggestions on how to improve my current answers/interview skills.

One question that has been bothering me for the past week that I just can't find an answer for that satisfies me is the classic:

"What makes you the best candidate for the job?"

I know this is as open-ended as it gets and allows me a chance to highlight my skills in relation to the job that I'm fighting for but as my current manager has repeatedly pointed out to me is that I need to give an answer that won't leave the interviewer the opportunity to say "... I can see you have these traits, but so does Mr.Smith. Now again, why are you the BEST person for the job?"... This is where I need everyone's help. If it helps at all this is the job posting to which I applied:

"Summary/ Responsibilities:

Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices. Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the *COMPANY NAME* brand. Ensures the attainment of collection goals for delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensures quality collection work through monitoring and file review. Manages a team of collectors through the use of MIS information, collection, and telephone monitoring systems. Identifies and recommends methods to improve operating efficiency, collection strategy and expense control through better work flows, management information systems, and automation enhancements. Ensures collections staff recognizes opportunities to generate loan applications and collection loans to secure overdue balance. Reviews and approves accounts recommended for charge-off per company policy. Provides reports and makes recommendations to Department Manager Collections as required. Approves rate reduction, settlements, and special payment arrangements consistent with company profitability objectives and policies. Works closely with MIS department to ensure accurate reporting. Apply compliance; internal and operational risk controls in accordance with *COMPANY NAME* or regulatory standards and policies; report issues and operational loss events. Abide by human resources and other *COMPANY NAME* policies in support of our ethical and respectful work environment. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned."

Any advice is more than welcomed!

While I appreciate the comment, can anyone offer me anything more?

Re: Need Interview Help...

Exactly what you said, do you have any experience or skills that fit the position? If so highlight them. Also throw in things like you feel comfortable supervising people or being a team leader (any examples where you have been the 'in charge' guy outside or or inside work?).

Hell mention that you feel excited by the opportunity and you feel that you can grow to meet any challenge that is thrown at you. That sort of thing.

Re: Need Interview Help...

Thanks for the suggestions but it all seems so ... blah
I want to be able to say something totally out of the ordinary that will set me apart from everyone else. Saying the obvious things I have already highlighted in the interview won't help me much
