2008 Presidential Election thread(s)

What's the main reason why all the presidential election threads are getting deleted? Isn't this the Lounge, which hosts "Want to talk about anything else? Post here!"?!

To me, the presidential election seems to be much more important than what's for lunch, what you are listening to right now, what's on your mind this very second, when you last had sex, or posting the 100th picture of yourself in the member pic thread. When it comes to our historic election, every thread seems to get deleted. I find this somewhat embarrassing - perhaps even a reflection of ignorance, or denial. People should be talking about this, while yes, keeping flames to a minimum. This is one of the most historic elections ever, and our opinions should be shared.

Congratulations, Barack Obama.

Re: 2008 Presidential Election thread(s)

I'm hoping there won't be a reason for a lock.. I'd rather hear people's opinion and thoughts on our next president now that he has been elected. I'd rather see people sharing the joy or fear or anger, than reading what they ate for lunch, how much gas is where they live, or what they last bought. Anyways..... just being HOPEFUL.
