Re: Would you rather?
for a car id never mess with, a car like the r32, good daily driver, linear power...yadyada
but for bolt ons and all that id go for the turbo, and just build it up to where its cost effective, the fmic, intake, downpip, exhuast, turbomani, intake mani, bigger turbo, and a stroke kit if it was avaliable, a tune and a bigger bolt on turbo....all that kinda stuff....if it was cost effective or if i was going to own it for a long time and i wouldnt mind it
but if i was building an all out power house kinda thing where money didnt matter, the r32 with all the goodies, there no replacement for displacement, specially when it comes to forced induction.
but also you can buy a v6 mustang and upgrade it with a blower, and make more power and handle better and be faster than a v8(wieght diff) for about the same cost...
it all comes down to what you want and what you plan on doing. buy a new v6 accord and do some minor bolt ons? or get the i4 and go all out with a turbo kit? buy a solstice with a 2.4 ecotec and drop a gm turbo or super on it? or just get the 2.0 turbo and upgrade it?
it just depends on what you want and what your going to do, like i personally would take the hyundai genesis coupe with the detuned 4b11t in it over the v6...why? cuz its just a detuned evox engine, and for less money and minor bolt ons you will be making more power than the v6
I never change my oil now that I'm boosted. Before I put on my stage 3, I had my engine teflon plated...it allows me to not use oil plus its guaranteed nonstick...
