If you went on vacation...

...and came home to find just about everything you own was thrown out, what would you do?!

So i went to Trinidad for 3 weeks, and heres a weird thing; I had a dream on my last night there that my mom sold our whole house and everything in it for 100K and I spent my dream trying to ask the new owners if I could have my stuff back, and they said "tough nuts it's ours now" kinda thing right? Dumb dream... then I got home yesterday and EVERYTHING I've owned with the exception of my car, what was in it and my stereo is all gone!! My Eclipse pre-amp deck and amp GONE! My SDS EMS GONE!!! omg mine and my dads computers just trashed! Tools, harddrives, you name it all gone. She said she 'cleaned up and gave it all to GOOD WILL'!!!!!! ALl my clothes that i didnt pack... gone.. OMG... now I'm a real patient guy... and being on vac. replenished my bullshit capacity, which under normal circumstances is good for about 5 years.... but now I'm really kinda pissed. I asked her WHY repeatedly and she just gives me a blank look (shes a bit crazy, if by 'a bit' i mean 'severely&#039. Then I said "WTF is WRONG WITH YOU" and THEN she has the nerve to speak... "don't talk to me like that" WHAT!?! Shes not even on any medications, which actually makes it worse because theres no reason for it. I'm out 3K in stuff now... charges I'm still paying off... what would YOU guys do if it happened to you!?

I am neutral in everything I do on this website. Only those facts that are presented to me sway my thought process and siding of each discussion topic that I post about.

Re: If you went on vacation...

even if you filed as a dependant on your return, if you can proove that you paid for the items, or can show that they were gifts and ownership was (reasonably) transferred to you, then technically you can sue your mother for the sale of goods she did not legally own. Or file an insurance claim that they were stolen, with your mother being the thief (this may result in some nominal jail time for your mother).

Soooooooooooo if you want to sue your mother or send her to jail (I would suggest finding another place to live and limiting my contact with her during that process) go for it!

Re: If you went on vacation...

I'd probably be mad as hell and then drive as fast as I could to that Good Will and try to get my stuff back. Aside from that I'm not sure you have a whole lot of appealing options.

Move out is my best advice.

Re: If you went on vacation...

Funny replies guys... thats enough to make me crack a smile

Ryan, good idea there with the legal action, but I just can't do that. There is no will to persue this tragedy any further

I found the programmer for my SDS EMS outside in a pile of trash, soaking in a container half filled with rainwater..... I should be really, really pissed off, but I'm taking this surprisingly well. I'm not so upset about the 'stuff' so much as I am the fact that my moms had no reason, has no respect, knowing she would do it again if left unsupervised, and no remorse for costing us so much money. She also managed to do considerable damage to the house, like trying to 'stain' the hardwood floors with a paintbrush and NO preparation, now it's a blotchy mess as well as painting the entire bathroom (shower stall floor and walls included) with this concrete garage floor primer and 'hard rock' protective coating, like what you would see on a truck bedliner... what a absolute mess... and somehow she got the cats stuck in the air ventialtion system for 3 days while she spent all day today before I found them, screaming at the top of her lungs that my dad threw threw out of the house on purpose... God is truly testing my patience....
