Do you see faces?

Just read an intersting article about how most people see a face when looking at the front of a car, and that most people prefer an "angry" face.

http://www.livescience.com/strangene...-car-face.html

I agree that angry faced cars seem more attractive and I wouldn't want to drive around in a car that looked "sad" or "afraid."

Re: Do you see faces?

I find aggressive looking cars more appeasing. Not into the softer friendly look of most recent car companies... even BMW has strayed from the aggressive look of the late 80s, early 90s.

Re: Do you see faces?

I just see different animals when looking at certain cars....

Examples:

New Dodge Durango: Rhino
Pontiac G8: Dinosaur
Hyundai Accent: Hamster <---this car describes one that's "afraid" lol
Toyota Tundra: Bull

There are so many others, but I can't think of them right now.

Esp. since the movie 'Cars', I notice faces on the car front more often. Like most, I prefer an "aggressive look". I think it is pretty cool.

Re: Do you see faces?

I've always seen faces on the front of cars, and for some reason I don't like it and would rather a car just look like a machine, not a person or animal. But when you have this paradigm of two head lights in the position where eyes would be, and a grill down around where a mouth could be, it's always going to look like a face. Motorcycles don't usually appear to have faces. It's interesting that you bring this topic up. It's kind of one of those things always in the back of my mind but never brought up in conversation for some reason.
