Warhammer Online Thread

Anyone else pick this game up? I've had it for a few days now and as a former WoW player, this game is a nice breath of fresh air. Fun questing, detailed cities, fun PVP scenarios. I've got a Rank 8 SwordMaster on Eerie Downs (Order) and am loving every second of it. I've got a guild going with some friends of mine. Anyone looking to play or roll a new toon, come on over to Eerie Downs and level/PVP with me.

In the meantime, discuss.

I've heard good things about this game, but I'm still playing WoW (or rather, taking a short break until the expansion comes out). I really don't have any desire to play most video games anymore except WoW and a few others.

I played WoW since release and my game plan was to stop playing until Lich King comes out. Honestly, after playing this game for only a week, I notice new things about it every day that make it all the more awesome. With the way this is going, I may just not even bother with Lich King at all. Here's a few points I noticed:

- There seems to be only one main city, which I like. Although I heard they'll be adding more main hub cities in future patches, I like the idea of one central location with all the vendors/trainers you need.

- Quest system is MUCH better than WoW. All of your quest objectives are listed on the main map. This means no more running off to Thottbot to find out where on the map you need to go. Hit the map key, and find out immediately where you need to go, what you need to collect. Saves a lot of headaches.

- No more sitting through long flights. You wanna fly somewhere, you view one 5 second cut scene and your at your destination. Not to mention there's no fucking Griffons, you basically ride around on jetpack choppers. Pretty cool.

- PVP system (RVR). Seems really polished and balanced as far as I can tell. You can jump immediately into PVP scenarios (BG's for us WoW people) almost at level 1. If you jump in as a low level, they'll bump your stats up to match the rank level. i.e. If your level 2 and you join a level 1-10 scenario, you'll have the stats of a level 8..so no getting absolutely decimated.

- Classes seem really cool. Much different than WoW. So far I have a Witchhunter (Val Helsing looking dude with a huge brimmed hat, musket and big sword) and a SwordMaster (equivalent of a warrior, rolls around with a GI-NORMOUS sword). I think the Swordmaster will be my main, lots of fun so far.
