Why do people like blasting music?

Sorry if this offends some people, but somebody down the street is sitting in his car blasting music so loud that the neighbors are walking out to see who it is. Why is this person doing this? What is going through his head?
And for that matter, why do people driving down the street like doing this too? Don't they realize they are just annoying everyone? Sometimes I see a car who is literally shaking due to the humongous subwoofer, and looks like its about to fall apart any second. And how can the batteries handle this kind of abuse, especially when the car is off???

I can understand wanting to upgrade your system to get better quality sound. I personally think the sound from my stock Mazda3 is perfection. It's so crisp and clear. But I don't remember turning the volume up over 12.

I hope someone can explain this to me. I just so frustrated with these people.

Re: Why do people like blasting music?

I went up to 16 last night, but only because I was driving back from a concert and I was used to the loud, so 6-8 wasn't doing it for me

But no, what you're describing is not necessary.

Re: Why do people like blasting music?

your showing your age Mo

im a music nut!! when i worked on a radio station i always had the music i was playing loud in the studio.... i enjoyed it

in my car... well it depends on the time of day, if its during the day i will listen to it loud while washing my car, people will hear it but its not too bad.

at night its diff... i turn it down..... when im coming home.... cause of the time..

i see it like this.... you do things that you like, of course everyone will not like it but you do you. dont over offend everyone and have some respect but lets face it..... a lot of uptight people in this world and you cant please everyone.
