Goals for the Rest of 08 & 09??

Im always curious to see what people put down for these kinds of things so I thought Id start one myself. With there only being a few months left in 2008 what are some of your goals for the rest of year and then what are your goals for 2009?

Mine are to get completely out of debt... or at least only have to be paying on the Speed3.. go back to school full time... and possibily be moving out of state. Then of course buy some more goodies for the car... maybe even find that someone special and of course the most cliche goal out there... getting in a lot better shape. I could still get my six pack that Ive always wanted by my bday (Dec 7) so who knows. We shall see though!!!

So what does everyone have planned for the first year of either the McCain/Palin Era or the Obama/Biden Era?

Damn Arawa, a little dramatic (I only say a little, Canada doesn't sound to nice right now. Maybe England).

Get the promotion I have been working on. Hopefully I'll find out in the next week or three if I get that Team Lead job (I have been the acting team lead for 7 months now and the job was finally just posted about 3 weeks ago).

Take a real vacation.

Have another child on the way (very much an '09 goal, NOT an '08 goal).

A-fucking-men. We bypassed a real vacation this year and re-did our kitchen. Beautiful kitchen now but I'm still working. We've been to see her parents and will go to see mine soon but that's not a REAL vacation.

Re: Goals for the Rest of 08 & 09??

Yeah I am sort of in a similar boat. Last real vacation my wife and I took was our honeymoon almost 2 years ago. Right afterward we bought a house and then got pregnant. Our son is 7 1/2 months, but not really old enough to enjoy a vacation and to young to live with the in-laws or parents. We are planning a 7-8 day trip to California (San Fran, Napa, Yosemite) next June (early June). Even though it shouldn't cost to much it is going to sting. With the promotion it won't be terrible, but we just spent about $3,000 redoing our kitchen and the floors on the 1st floor completely (+1 for DIY) and then we just got hit with an unexpected $5,800 tab having to completely replace our HVAC system because it decided to puke and die (course it was 17 years old and poorly maitained before we bought the place).

This'll be the first vacation since getting married and probably our last one for a couple of years as we are hoping to have another baby on the way (delaying that 'work' till after the trip). So kind our first and last chance to really get away from it all and unwind for the next couple of years.
