Re: Police Officer Accidentally Shoots Himself In The Foot

The article does not go into details.

However he may have been a rookie and this may have been his first high risk stop. This actually happens more often then you think. In our own town an officer shot himself in the knee as he was drawing down on a large dog that was coming at him.

Just because he shot himself does not make him anything, it was a costly mistake and I am sure he will not do that again.

Besides its Canada, Eh. haha

What you mean? What if there's a kid that was standing next to it him and he accidentally shot a little kid in the foot? He should have paid attention when he went for training.

So if the cop panics and oops shots the guy in the face and kills him doesnt make him any less of a cop?

Re: Police Officer Accidentally Shoots Himself In The Foot

You guys are jumping to conclusions. The article does not go in depth enough for you to make a judgement call nor do I.

I see where you guys are coming from with accidently shooting himself and he could have shot another but the article does not go into detail whether or not he shot himself in the foot while holstering, unholstering, or just pointing it at the ground for safety reasons.

He probably shot himself in the foot while unholstering his weapon because he had to pull it UP in which his finger may have slipped and pulled the trigger.

Sounds like he wasnt ready for the real world. Schooling should teach you ALL of that. In the real world there is no excuse for a "oops" in this field.

Re: Police Officer Accidentally Shoots Himself In The Foot

he is a loser if he discharged his gun in public by accident

if you cant control ur gun don't carry one

this is a mistake that can hurt or kill a person

in his case he shot him self

I'm sure a lesson he will never forget
