Aquariums (Salt Water and Fresh Water)

Anybody else on here have aquariums?

I have a 29 gallon tank I used for freshwater about 6-7 years ago, turned into a turtle tank, and is now (since early June) a salt water tank.

Right now in the tank I have:

2 Percula Clowns
2 Mexican Turbos
4 Sand Sifters (starfish)
2 Blue Fin Damsels
1 Horseshoe Crab
1 Green Chromi
1 Blue Knuckle Crab
1 Brown Tang

Sabae Anemone
Zoanthid Corals
Many mushrooms
Bubble Coral

I think that's about it.  Now for some pics.

My favorite, and current desktop wallpaper:

Not so much a bitch as it is costly lol. you just have to keep an eye on it all the time to make sure the parameters of the water don't go out of wack and kill everything.

Keep an eye on it meaning weekly or biweekly water test. Test for pH, salinity, Calcium, Alkalinity, Nitrates, Phosphates, Nitrites. Larger tanks basically develop their own ecosystem and those parameters somewhat maintain themselves better. My 29 gallon tank is good 95% of the time, my gf's 3 gallon tank was wacked out allll the time.

I had a 55 gallon saltwater tank until me and my buddy got drunk at the house and started boxing and he tripped on the coffetable and knocked it over what a mess

You could be a redneck if you were just married and you have nothing but empty Skoal cans strung from your bumper as you leave the church.

Re: Aquariums (Salt Water and Fresh Water)

We had fish about a year and a half ago until they died in our 2-3 gallon tank. It was fresh water, but it was way to easy for "ick" to develop in the water. As soon as it developed on their fins it was only a matter of time before I found one on the top of the water. We had two last about 2 months worry free till we threw a carny fish in the mix. Disease got in the water before we could clean it and George Michael and Maybe died in about a week or two. The carny died shortly after. Went to petco and spent about $1 on new fish and they died as well and we even changed the water. We probably should have cleaned the rocks and trees in the tank as well. Since then we have not wanted to mess with a fish tank anymore.

Now we have a cat and she has stumbled upon fleas. She's very cute and we just got here spayed and fronts declawed on Monday. Now we will have to pay an expensive price to get her flea problem taken care of.

LMFAO "oh i thought i didn't need that" i bet in your head you were like "go kick your mom in the ass for me when you get home " 08mazda2.0
