Re: Downloading Music

So you want a music store that is, essentially, crap?

Nah I kid, I kid. Just suck it up and use itunes if you insist on paying to download music.

Re: Downloading Music

Well, any site that offers mp3 will work with the ipod, or if they have .wav or .wma it can be converted to mp3 in itunes, also anything in .ogg or .flac can be converted though that'll cost you.

Re: Downloading Music

for pay its complicated because the ipod is so proprietary. there are ways to do it but to technical to explain on here. GOOGLE IT. lol

as far as other mp3 download programs try CABOS for PC and Mac or Frostwire for windows...its a free version of Limewirepro reverse engineered so you dont have to pay...fun stuff huh? lol

...is waiting for the next episode of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood....

Re: Downloading Music

Forget Limewire, just use torrents. Pretty pretty torrents.

Re: Downloading Music

If you've got a taste for indie music or stuff that generally isn't played on the radio check out Emusic. They give you 25 or 50 free songs (50 if you can find a random site with the advertisment) I pay $20/month for 75 songs. It's more music than I can handle. It's nice because I get to download things that I never would consider & often find myself liking them. But I must warn you, bands like Coldplay and 3-doors down are not available on the site. The larger the band, the less likely they are to have it.

I'm pretty sure it works with itunes. I personally hate itunes & hope to never buy an ipod (be forced into buying due to lack of competition) If I ever find a genie in a lantern, I'll wish that Apple implodes on its monopolistic self.

Re: Downloading Music

I went the Creative route because I'm not a fan of apple either. I just bought a 16GB Creative Zen for $138/shipped with 2.5" viewable screen from newegg.com. I've used them before and I liked the interface so I went back, because I knew the made cheaper mp3 players. I had the Creative Zen Vision M, but I dropped it from about 6 feet and the harddrive died. I never got a chance to send it in to get fixed so now it's a paper weight in my car.

LMFAO "oh i thought i didn't need that" i bet in your head you were like "go kick your mom in the ass for me when you get home " 08mazda2.0

Re: Downloading Music

I've got a 1st gen(2004) 20GB creative zen touch (like the vision M). It sucks because I have around 30-35GB of music. I need an 80GB player but there are no good ones on the market. It's not that I could listen to all of it in one sitting (more like 2-3 weeks straight), I just like having instant access every tune I've purchased. Constantly adding and deleting music from an mp3 player gets old fast, I'd rather just add.
