Re: hybrid/alternative fuel parking

I was at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY a few weeks ago and they had four of those parking spots. My brother-in-law parked in the row before those rows and in the second slot. He laughed because he was closer to the front door and he drives a 13 MPG 2500 Ram 4X4.

If it is private property they can damn well do whatever they want. If they wanted to they could say no pickup trucks and be well within their rights towing you if they wanted to. That is why I get annoyed with people who park in expectant mother parking or baby parking (IE the parent has a baby with them). Since I have been in both situations (well I haven't personally been knocked up) I know how difficult it can be to get around. It is the choice of the establishment to designate parking the way they would like (so long as they set aside the legal requirement for handicap parking).

Just seems like a dick thing to park in designated parking if you don't fit the bill.

Just stick a badge on it, Ford used to from back in the 90s.

Re: hybrid/alternative fuel parking

Simple fix: get a custom magnet/sticker made that says "HYBRID" or "FLEX-FUEL" or "E85". The FFV badges are also a good idea, although magnets are removable so you can use them in special situations.

I'm pretty sure the Parking Police aren't going to know that there aren't any Hybrid Fusions or MZ3's...MS3 might have a problem...A turbo performance hybrid would be cool though.
