Loud Screech from left side tire.

hello,

i was driving today so i got a call. Took the next right immediately, parked and talked on the phone. When i was done, i started driving down the road that had some little rocks here and there. All over sudden i hear this loud screaming screech... sounded like a nazgul from lord of the rings. It was coming from the left side, I panicked and had to stop because it was getting louder.

It sounded like the break was grinding on something, as soon as i started rolling down without even accelerating the noise would come back. So i decided to tough it out and the noise went away... maybe it was a rock between the brake clumps and brake disks? maybe the rock between there was grinded to ash?

help! should i get my car checked? Cause i swear i hope the car is not dieing after 7months.
