Anyone know anything about spiders??

Apparently at my fiance's work there has been a lot of what they suspect might be Brown Recluse spiders around. She sent me a cell phone picture of one tonight, and it looks a bit like a Wolf Spider to me, (which is obviously much less dangerous). But I can't really tell the difference? We are in South Carolina so both species make themselves at home here. Thanks for any help.

I would curb stomp that bitch if I had any thought of it being a recluse

They killed it right after they took the picture, but I am just curious because to me it looks more like a wolf spider, but im far from an expert.

Re: Anyone know anything about spiders??

i would it's not a brown recluse from the pic. do you have a higher res pic?

if it has 8 eyes like most, it's not a recluse. if it has six, it prolly is one of those nasty devils. a bartender at my local got bitten and she had a big ulcer or wound on her arm.

LOL, I don't think they counted the eyes before they killed it. I have heard nasty things about the bites as well. But whats weird to me is that this one was out on the sidewalk. I understood that recluses normally stay in dark, undisturbed places.

Re: Anyone know anything about spiders??

all spiders are immediately flattened by me, regardless if its poisonous or not. but that looks like a wolf spider to me, we used to get them at my old job

anyway I opened it in photoshop and lightened the picture and also negatived it... i didn't see a violin shaped mark on its back but then again its kind of a crappy pic of it

**not on this forum and not unless its in a for sale thread.
