build your perfect car!!!

with all the buzz about the forthe coming subayota or toyobaru rwd coupe, it got me thinking about the ultimate franken-car. what parts from different cars would you combine to make your perfect car? what features would be most important to you? what badge would it wear (everyone can't just call it a mazda, agreed?)?

my perfect car:

RX8 chassis shrunkin by about 4 inches or so (fantastic chassis balance and strength; rwd; light weight)
SRT4 clutch package (to this day, it is still the best/easiest clutch i have ever used)
Porsche transmission/shifter (like butter; just a flick of the wrist is all you need)
GTi suspension (there's a reason chevy reverse engineered it for the cobalt)
Subaru 2.5 boxer 4 (lots of grunt; pretty fuel efficient once you get rid of the awd weight; loves to be turbo'd)
Nissan 3.5 V6 as alternate engine for step up model (one of the best V6's ever made)
Astra XR body/style (don't know what it is about that thing, but i really like it, very european)
Mazda3 dash/center console (i think everyone here knows why)
Brembo breaks (you need an explanation?)
McLaren badge (they're always taking credit for other people's cars anyway)

so there you have it. light weight, rwd, fuel efficient hatchback, with a fantastic chassis and suspension combo that would go 0-60 in under 7 seconds in base 2.5i form (and under six when blown slightly) that would return close to 30 mpg highway for around $25,000.

who's with me?!?!?

Re: build your perfect car!!!

My ultimate car: solid platform, on-demand (switched) AWD, efficient motor with plenty of passing power, manual transmission, wagon body for hauling goodies, front-end that won't get chipped, excellent lighting for all road conditions, something I can enjoy driving on the curvy roads, cruise down the highway, and take down a trail for camping or exploring. Decent fuel mileage would be nice.

XC70 with V70R tune.
