Frolf Anyone?

I have recently gained interest in playing disc golf. For those of you who don't know, disc golf involves similar rules as regular golf. However, smaller and sturdier discs are thrown down the hole towards the pin, which is a cage formed by chains hung in a circular patern and a catch underneath.

This sport is very enjoyable and exciting. It can be played in a range of conditions and styles. Does anyone play this awesome game? I live in MO, where there are at least 10 different courses. Is it popular elsewhere?

Re: Frolf Anyone?

There are quite a few courses around here. I worked for a park for awhile that had a course. In fact, when I first started there, I got to rip out all the old baskets and install new ones from the ground up. Pretty fun task considering I enjoy playing the game. I threw my discs in the truck and would play each hole as I finished it lol. But yeah, great sport considering that its free! Well besides the cost of discs of course. I only have two discs that I carry. Not really much need for more than that for me. I have my Beast for regular drives and putts, and I have my Pro Viking for overhand and hiser shots.

I've played and enjoyed it...however, those little frisbees hurt something awful if you try to catch them

Nice. I'm glad to see this free sport is experienced elsewhere. I also have a beast with some great drive and an aviar for putts.
