Car show competitions.

I've been to a few car shows here and there, but now I'm thinking about them more seriously. I'd like to enter my car into some competitions but have no idea what to expect. How tough are they? What are judges looking for in a car? What are the categories? What do I need to do and what do I need to make sure of? Please share some of your experiences and tips.

Re: Car show competitions.

depends on the kind of car show

crap like HIN will look for more bling and flashy crap than anything else (i.e bodykits, screens, systems, etc, over performance)

Always make sure your car is super clean especially if its indoors since the lights they use will make a non polished car look like swirl city.

hope that helps

it all depends on what the show is, like DM said. The most important thing is to have it as clean as possible.
A nice sound system on the inside is always a +.

Re: Car show competitions.

You win if you are riced out (bodykit, fat wheels, screens everywhere) or have more hp that you know what to do with.

IMO, if your entering a big show, spend the $300ish for a power polish and detail to get your car way shinier than you can. I do really good work on my car, but its not nearly as good as a professional can get it.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer
