What Are You Shooting With?

Subject says it, I'm always asking people when they post good pictures. So I thought I'd start a thread. Also, why did you choose that camera?

Nikon D40 here, it fits perfectly in my man hands and it takes the best pictures IMO (for its price) one day I'll have a D300
There's a few posts I've replied to where I've said I have D40X; I was org. going to get one but at the last minute got the D40. I get it mixed up half the time.

Oh, does anyone have a 10.5mm Fisheye lens for sale?

Re: What Are You Shooting With?

Original Canon Rebel digital. I like Canon and already had a 35MM Rebel so this was the logical next step for me. Want to bump up in the near future but this one is working great for me know.

Re: What Are You Shooting With?

I've never touched an org Rebel but I've handled a XTi and it was too small for my hands, is the org. Rebel small also? IMO Canons and Nikons are equally amazing, it's just a matter of personal preference.

What do you want to bump up to?

Thinking a new XTi or a used 20D. Dont know that I really need a "PRO MODEL" as I just shoot for my own enjoyment but they sure are robust and I am kind of a tech geek.

Re: What Are You Shooting With?

Ahh...my big thing with the Rebel XTi is that it's small. Pretty much my only complaint. Shooting is also a hobby of mine, I'm horrible at but I'm going to take a few more classes on it this fall.
I'm a bit of a tech geek too. Anything that has to do with technology catches my eye 8)

Re: What Are You Shooting With?

It seems like everyone has a XTi. You people and your small hands. I feel awkward holding it. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Ken Rockwell, www.kenrockwell.com, does reviews on cameras and he said it was an ok camera but he's a BIG Nikon fan, currently in love with his D40. I do believe he even says in one of his reviews that's the only camera he has used to document his new born son's life so far.

Re: What Are You Shooting With?

XTi...and my hands aren't small thank you very much Got it because I owned an XT before and loved it, but the XTi had some great additional features and I was able to sell my old cam for $500, so hey, that made the XTi only like $150. Not bad

Now, at the risk of saying it one too many times, I'm upping to the 5D. Full-frame low-noise-at-high-ISO goodness, here I come!

that 20D or XT can be considered a "PRO MODEL" in the proper hands.
