Windows Movie Maker anyone?

so im just getting into makin my own home videos. i picked up a flip video ultra which so far has proven itself. i've made several movies now using windows movie maker but i've now encountered a problem. after i import the video into the 'collections area' i am able to watch it just fine. then i drag it to the storyboard and when i hit play all i see is black. the sound comes through just fine, but no picture. i've tried several clips, uninstalled WMM and reinstalled and still the same problem.. anyone have an idea?
