Mazdaspeed Protege

At a stoplight this weekend I came up next to a black Mazdaspeed Protege. The driver and I exchanged thumbs-up. What a great, historic car. Built in 2003 and only 1700 exported to America, this was Mazdaspeed's first production vehicle, and it got rave reviews from the car press. I was surprised to read the specs, the MS Protege only had 170hp. So when the light changed and he hit the gas, I just let him have it, out of respect.

Re: Mazdaspeed Protege

I had a guy who an MSP ask me about my car. He works at dunkin donuts and I go there about every day, lol. I dont think he knew what it was really, or didnt know much about it, was just asking me about it. He commented on how it had a turbo but was still slow as shit, lol

I thought you meant "let him have it", as in you gunned it past him as a showing of our car's superiority . Props though, can't say I would have done the same.

Re: Mazdaspeed Protege

Historic or not, that thing handled like a beast. I remember reading somewhere and it was voted as the 8th best handling car in the world, and this was up against the supercars.

Not to mention it looked GREAT
