The Holy Quran

Guys I was wondering what everyone thinks about the Holy Quran. I have recently read it and didnt have the same opinion that everyone else has. It is a beautiful book, and has really nothing to do with violence. If anyone else has read tell me what you thought about it. Maybe what your opinions are about Mohammad and the muslim Jesus.

Re: The Holy Quran

You must have skipped over this part:

Quote:
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." (9:5)

Or this:
Quote:
"... You shall put all its males to the sword. You may, however, take as your booty the women, the children, the livestock, and everything in the town -- all its spoil -- and enjoy the use of the spoil of your enemy which the LORD your God gives you." (20:14-15) .
I could go on... should I?

Believe what you would like, but if you're going to have a hard time convincing me otherwise.
