If you think premium unleaded is expensive...

I just shelled out $104 for 16 gallons of Sunoco 110 octane leaded tonight. It was $6.49 a gal! Last spring the stuff was only running $4.39 or so.

Just thought I'd make you MS3 owners that have to run premium not feel so bad.

Strictly a 1/4 mile car.

I was just cruising tonight, well actually "on the prowl" to be more specific, but I didn't drive around too much, with having two 850 CFM four barrel carbs it gets awful gas mileage.

5.97 in the 1/8th is the best I've recorded.

Our local track has regulations that state if you run less than 9.99 in the 1/4 you must have a roll-cage. I don't have one & don't want one, so I shut down at the 1/8th. Regulations also state that if you trap at 150+ a chute is required, I don't have one of those either. I've estimated the car could do 9.50's in the 1/4 and trap at around 147. The car puts out 685 hp to the wheels on Sunoco 110 unleaded (best fuel for my setup). HP drops as you go down to lower octanes. I can run 93 unleaded, but output drops to around 510-520 hp to the wheels.
