got a ticket and need opinions on possible dismissal

ok so i got a ticket last night, 81 in a 65. i could do defensive driving, but if i can get it dismissed then i dont have to tell my parents, or do defensive driving or pay court fees. so here's the thing:

i have a mazda 3s. my insurance says, vehicle make: "Mazda" vehicle model: "Mazda 3"(i know i know, it should be just 3s. ill fix that sometime)
BUT!!! the ticket says i have: vehicle make: "Mazda" vehicle model: "M3S"

so my question to everyone is this: Do you think "M3S" is far enough off from "Mazda 3" to get it dismissed?!?!
i think yes, but i dont know cause ive never done this.
now that i think about it too, he just checked to make sure i was insured on my car then gave me my insurance card back and didnt take it to the car to write out the ticket. might have been his downfall, but im happy.

Question2: if i try to get it dismissed and they say no that its close enough then can i still do defensive driving?

also, im kinda proud of him for knowing its a s and not just a mazda3. even kinda might turn out lucky for me.

It's just an urban legend that immaterial things such as this get tickets dismissed.

Tell your parents and take defensive driving if it's available to you.

I can GUARANTEE you that this won't get your ticket dismissed.

It is an urban legend. He got your name right, DL#, make of car and, for the most part, the model. It's immaterial and the judge is not going to like you wasting the court's time for such a childish defense.

I'd say accept responsibility for the speed you were clocked at.

Re: got a ticket and need opinions on possible dismissal

The ticket will not get dismissed. End of that.

For the defensive driver training course. I cannot comment. I know in NJ, you only take a Defensive Driver Training course to get two points taken off of your license.

I mean no hard feelings for what I post on this website. Anything I type/write/post/say on this forum is only that of general debate and discussion. I am not biased toward anyone or anything. I am neutral in everything I do on this website. Only those facts that are presented to me sway my thought process and siding of each discussion topic that I post about.
