Motorola RAZR 2, does anyone have it?

I'm sick of this stupid POS Sidekick3 (big mistake getting it), but I've been eyeballing the RAZR 2. Any thoughts/concerns with this phone?

No more brick creeper. Shitty battery life, it will just randomly lose signal for 3-4 hours at a time, never receive calls, people think I'm ignoring them, cannot change my wallpaper and have no choice but to pay for ringtones, and it doesn't have a calculator, which is surprisingly freaking obnoxious as hell.

nope, RAZR 2, I really want one, but would like to hear a review from someone here on the forums. My old V3 was a champ, that phone went through hell and lasted a solid 2 years after being dropped numerous times (3 times in water while it was one), I miss being able to make my own ringtones, and being able to use a phone with one hand, I'm probably way faster with the number pad for texting (none of that T9 crap), than I am with the QWERTY keyboard on the sidekick.

Only thing I don't like about my V3 is that it's got a slow UI. You press "sounds" and it has to "access device" or when I'm texting, I have to wait for it to catch up with me. Other than that, great phone, I've had it for a year and a half, no problems.

Yeah, I miss it. Too bad my unlocked V3 died shortly after I bought the sidekick, or I'd go back to that, but I guess it's time for an upgrade. The RAZR 2 has fantastic battery life, bluetooth, internet, music, 2.0 megapixel camera... I mean, I'm pretty much sold on it.

Re: Motorola RAZR 2, does anyone have it?

hmmm interesting. I am thinking about switching to T-Mobile and getting a sidekick next month. But the only way I could do it is by signing up in PA (we don't have T-Mobile here)... and I would be roaming while I am here in WV. I have always wanted a SK. BUUUUT I love my RAZR (its the 1st gen, V3)... I just need a new battery for it and I'm sure it would last another few years. IDK.

The new RAZRs look pretty sweet though

**not on this forum and not unless its in a for sale thread.

they do. Just make sure when you look at one to check the spacing between the screen and the buttons. A young chick salesmen showed me that when i was checking out the krazer. I bought a cheaper phone though, as virgin doesnt use contracts.

I've never heard of anyone having problems with their Sidekicks, I guess I just got a bad one? Oh well, it's a friggin brick anyway.

Re: Motorola RAZR 2, does anyone have it?

I hope you like the Razr2. I absolutely loved my razr v3 till after about 10 months, then I noticed the phone was slowly starting to suck. I would close the phone and it would reset itself. This would happen at least 3-4 times a week. I ended up having to close it ever so gently to get it to not reset. The "predict-a-text" was starting to become a nuissance as well. I wanted something that had a qwerty pad so I could type exactly what I wanted to say. Went with the Blackjack II and I'm satisfied so far. It took a day or two to get used to the qwerty pad and now I would never want to go back to the number texting. The Razr was a great phone when it first came out, but there's way better phones available for a lot less money. I would seriously reconsider getting a different phone from a Razr.

LMFAO "oh i thought i didn't need that" i bet in your head you were like "go kick your mom in the ass for me when you get home " 08mazda2.0

This is a new RAZR, not the V3. It looks pretty awesome, and I loved my old RAZR. Honestly, I'm sick of the QWERTY keypad, the letters are too tiny and you have to use two hands just to hold the damn phone. The Blackjack does look pretty cool though, how long have you had it?
