I didn't receive the whole amount back from Mazda. When I traded my mazda6 in for my 3 I had only had my car for a year, and they still took some of the money. It's one reason I will never get an extended warranty again. I was told that if for any reason I sold my car before I "used" the warranty, which didn't start until after 4 yr/50K mile, that I would get a full refund.
[/quote].....They should have explained that the extended warrenty you purchased started on the "in service" date of your car.....in other words the date you purchased your car.....reason is,there are some benefits you recieve from day 1 that is covered by the warrenty(i.e. rental car if yours is tied up for a warrenty repair) so if you bought a 4 year warrenty for example, it starts day one. If you had your car for 1 year, they sre within the terms of said warrenty to re-imburse you for 3/4 of warrenty price, since 1/4 of time has elapsed...
