!!!HELP!!! Mazda DENIES WARRANTY due to aftermarket parts?
ok, so heres the quick version:
mods: CAI, Headers, Exhaust, Ballance shaft delete, Piggy Back ECU, Flywheel
Problem: engine is "clicking" need a new engine due to "oil starvation" or something. basically, the car was being cornered hard at higher RPM's at about 3k after an oil change.
i went to the dealership to get my oil changed (had oil changed 3k prior when i had the ballance shaft removed) and i told them about the BSD and that they have to put in 5.25 qt of oil (1 qt more thank stock). the new oil capacity is also on the oil pan.
3k miles later (time for the next oil change) i develope a "clicking" sound. i take it in and they cahnge the oil to see if that helps (it doesnt). when they are taking the oil out, they only drain 2.5 qt of oil.... which is funny because i now suspect that they never added the proper amount on the last oil change)
i was referred to Jerry Antwan ( some kind of service manager or something) and when explaining the situation he said he would get back to me. he left me a message saying i need to get the info from the dealership that did the BSD. I returned his message (left voicemail) stating i would try to get ahold of the information, but that my car should still be covered under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (FTC Title 15, Ch. 50). so he left me a message saying i need to call Mazda HQ if i want to resolf the issue.
So i calle Mazda HQ (they were confused why i had to call them) and they called the dealership. they called me back saying that the dealership had already denied my warranty.
i call bacy the guy at the dealer and he says that my warranty had notyet been denied... so here i am over 5 weeks later and still have nothing.
ANY SUGGESTIONS? (real suggestions, no side comments please.)
Currently: 2005 Subaru WRX STi with a full Cobb Stgae 2 setup, DBA4000 rotors, ss lines, and a few other goodies. pushing 350 crank hp and 390 tq. 17.5psi
My old mazda: '06 tit gray hatch, 5 spd with prototype F2 4-1 header, exhaust (resonator and muffler... no cat). F2 intake, flywheel, ECU tune Ballance shaft delete, and F2 rear-swaybar. Exedy Stage 1 clutch
