Shout out to an RX8 Owner.... Get Well Soon...

Prayer to the to the brave soul who risked his own life to save another!!! Here's the link to the forum.... http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=138995

Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself, my name is Lindsay, and I'm engaged to Brian. His name on here is 06carbon8. I don't know if this is even close to where I am supposed to be putting this, but I wanted to do this as a favor to Brian and the people he talks to on here. Unfortunately I've never used a forum like this before and I might be doing this completely wrong. If so, I apologize.
I'm a member of the rescue squad in Bloomsbury, NJ with Brian. Late last night we responded to a call from NJSP on route 78 for a female who was in a very minor accident involving only her car. Brian, myself, and another member showed up in the ambulance, and Brian got in the passenger side of her car to stabilize her neck and head while we prepared the stretcher and got her out of the car. While Brian was kneeling on the passenger seat holding her head, another car came over the slight hill we were on and hit the back of the woman's car, shoving it a couple hundred feet down the highway, and across 2 lanes. Thank God no other cars hit the vehicle when it ended up in the middle of the interstate. There is still no explanation as to why or how the other car hit a vehicle parked on the shoulder.
As far as Brian's condition, it is somewhat up in the air. Everyone who has checked him out so far is saying that he is going to make it, but no one is certain as to long term effects from the accident. Most of his injuries are on his right side from hitting the dash/roof/windshield and the most serious parts are around his shoulder, arm, neck, and head. He insisted on not being flown to the hospital because he wanted me and his other crew to tale him but he lost consciousness part way through the ride and was unresponsive for almost 2 hours. He finally woke up around 7 this morning but he is very disoriented and tired. All of the tests run this point show normal function and brain activity, the main concerns are the surgery he needed to his shoulder and upper arm. He already had a rod in his wrist from an old snowboarding injury.
I know that Brian was in the middle of doing some business with a few members on here over the weekend. As of this point, I'm sorry to say he certainly isn't going to be on here for quite some time. I know for a fact that he wants to finish what he started over the weekend. I can't get into his email account to find out whatever I need to be able to send some stuff out for him. I know he had a bumper to drop off somewhere because he was going to use my car but other than that I'm completely in the dark..If whoever is expecting these parts reads this, could you please email me at [email protected] all the information I need and I can send out myself whatever you are expecting? I'll do my best to get you what you need and make everything I possibly can work.
If any of you have a message or well wishes you would like me to give to Brian, please feel free to email me at the same address and I will print them all out and bring them to him. I know I'm not going to be on here alot, I want to spend as much time with him as I can, but I will check my email from my phone as much as I can. I've met a couple of you at the restaurant a few months ago and everyone I met seems like a really great group of people.
Also, if someone wants to explain to me how to post pictures on here I will put up the 2 pictures of the accident I took with my cell phone. I'm begging everyone, please pay attention when you drive. Things can change so quickly and anything can happen. Thank you again for reading and hopefully I can make things work out for Brian while he isn't able to. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you again.

thanks everyone for the kind words..I'm hoping so much that he gets better soon. He's such an active person, he's always snowboarding or working on cars. I know it's going to be so hard on him when he wakes up and finally comes home and has to sit around for so long...
I think I figured out how to post pictures. Hopefully this will work. I know they aren't the best quality but I was so shaken and so scared for him but I knew he would want me to so here they are.

Lindsay

My g/f doesn't live very far from a hill in her neighborhood, and to make it worst, and apartment complex turns out at the top. If you're speeding and a car pulls out of the apartment complex there's a good chance that you will rear end the car. If cars are pulling into the apartment complex there's a good chance you can t-bone the car. Hills are dangerous and you have to approach them with caution.

Re: Shout out to an RX8 Owner.... Get Well Soon...

my dad covered a seen where a car went over a hill and lost control and crashed into a telephone pole. The car caught fire and everyone died. I saw the pictures of the charred bodies. It was not pretty.

"best wishes" and "get well soon"s to the 8 driver!

You showed this to me last night... how incredibly sad.

I wish him a speedy recovery so he can get on with his life.
