I get my car back from the shop today... yay

Kinda a long story, but hey.

I was rearended at a stop light a few months ago, end of september. It wasn't hard, just enough to do some minor damage to my bumper and mess up my exhaust since they slid under a bit and hit the tailpipe.

Some mexicans, the driver didn't really speak english, so his passenger was sorta translating. They were in their buddies car, who had insurance so I took down that info, as well as the drivers info inculding phone # and DL #. Didn't call the cops since no one was hurt and it was minor stuff. (Mistake, yea.)

I called my insurance company and theirs to set up claims with both. My insurance company said if I wanted to get it fixed right away I could go ahead and get it fixed through them, but I would have to pay my deductible. It would still be recorded as no-fault for me so it wouldn't affect my rates at all. They would then go after the other guys insurance to recover their costs then give me my deductible back. I decided I would just wait to get it fixed until the other company agreed to so I didn't have to pay anything.

The other company had trouble getting a hold of the driver, but about a month later finally did and they admitted fault. Of course this was not the end. The insured (owner of the car) was apparently out of the country, and the insurance company didn't want to pay out until they knew for sure he had given permission to the other guys to drive the car (not stolen, etc). The week before XMas on Wednesday or Thursday I finally get a call from the insurance company. They still hadn't gotten in touch with the insured but the manager has decided to fix my car anyway.

It was too late to get it in the shop before XMas, so I finally got it in at the end of the day Monday. I got a rental on the insurance companys dime. The only car they had for me was a Dodge Grand Caravan, I was not so happy but the guys were nice and said I could trade it in the next day. Tuesday this week I go in after work and pick up a Nissan Sentra and have been driving it all week. Its a decent little car, has a CVT which was cool at first.

Anyways.

I should be getting it back from the shop today. New bumper cover and new exhaust. After 3 months of driving my car and hearing the exhaust rubbing up against the undercarriage pretty much non stop I should be getting it back today.

No pics, sorry... Just some scrapes on the bumper and it popped out of place a little bit on the side by the quarter panel. And the exhaust. Their car slid under mine so my tailpipe was bent down at maybe a 15 degree angle.
