Intake Resenator

Just finished pulling the intake resenator (sp?) off my 08 Mazda 3 and WOW was that a sucker to get out! My mustang took my no lie 10min to take it off. Mazda took me 2 1/2 hours to get it off and complete. I do notice a bit of a difference with it off and I like it, I can feel a diference in the pedal response, Next I plan to ground the T.B tomarow.

don't know about the 08 but in the 04 it sounds like a different engine under power. nothing during idle but around 3-5000 rmps its roaring! i love the sound on mine and want more cant wait till i can save up for an exhaust

Re: Intake Resenator

ya it is ridiculously loud, and it sounds great. I had it taken off for a month or so and i loved the sound but i could feel a decrease in torque for sure. Not to worry i got a Simota TC to replace it

Re: Intake Resenator

It resonates the sound of intake. It doesn't yield any performance gains because now the intake sucks air from right underneath the engine, which is hotter. It only sounds faster :P
