Re: Roger Clemens....Guilty or innocent ???

I think that IF he did.. he was doing HGH, which was not made illegal in the MLB until (before or after I'm not sure) the 2002 season. If it was before that date.. IMO it doesn't even matter.

Personally, since I don't know the man, I can't say whether he did or not. I'm not even sure what to THINK. He says he didn't and this trainer says he did... who to believe? I tend not to believe someone who is ratting someone else out, so perhaps I'll say I think Clemens didn't because that's what he's told us.

Re: Roger Clemens....Guilty or innocent ???

I think whether or not he was, it shouldn't matter. This individual player witchhunt based on limited information and little proof is simply silly. The MLB needs to fix its rules (which it has done, to some extent) and policies and move on. Even if we do find individual players that did it before it was illegal, what does going after them prove? If you strip them of something, how do you know the player you're putting in their place wasn't just as bad? It's frankly silly. Fix the rules, move on.

Oh, and as for Clemens, EVEN IF HE IS GUILTY we're talking about 3 years out of 24, including a year in which he wasn't very good. Big freakin deal.

You're right, it wouldn't prove much at all. I'm not sure if that's what this report was looking to do or if it was just looking to incite the MLB to make changes to its policies. Which, I agree, it needs to do. Substances maybe illegal now, but how has/will the MLB enforce that going forward?

Don't care if he did or didn't. It's his body ... if he wants to screw it up let him.

If you watched the 60 Minutes interview last night, that was basically his point - it's his body, why would he want to fuck with it like that.

Indeed I did not. I wasted 2 hours of my life and 14 bucks by going to see Walk Hard

Re: Roger Clemens....Guilty or innocent ???

ahhh the mitchell report...everyone already thinks barry juiced more so than clemens and barry is still denying and sticking with his story. Andy petite admitted to using steriods and clemens was surprised/shocked that andy petite confessed to using. wouldn't shock me whether clemens did or didn't juice he still had great mechanics which without all those supposedly juiced fastballs would have gotten away from him.
