Jeff Dunham

One of the funniest comedians I've seen.

Walter, Peanut, Jose, Achmed, Sweet Daddy D

He's so good, anyone been/going to see him?

Re: Jeff Dunham

He would be a lot funnier if Comedy Central didn't ruin every single punchline in his routine by placing them in the 24352034 ommercials they have of him.

Re: Jeff Dunham

I was introduced to him about 2 months ago. One of the firefighters at work brought in a DVD and I laughed till I cried. I have the DVDs for spark of insanity and Arguing with Myself and love them. I was really depressed to hear he was in Charlotte, NC recently, but by the time I found out it was completely sold out.

smallbigtall, whereabouts are you in Winston?

Re: Jeff Dunham

I'd love to see him in person.... the outtakes on Arguing with Myself are hilarious. One time he became totally lost when fixing Walter's arms after they came uncrossed. Couldn't remember where he was at all. A guy in the back row tried to help out but then Walter started yelling at him and how the sign out front said "Jeff Dunham and friends" not Jeff Dunham and some drunk asshole in the back row". The great part was he was still lost and Jeff chastised Walter for pissing off the guy trying to help them out. Walter apologized and then they got back on track.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't scripted. As soon as Walter's arms fell down he said "edit" so they could edit out what followed. Even if it was complete improv he does a great job with letting each of the puppets have their own personalities enough that you can totally see the puppets going off on someone while he tries to mediate. Sometimes I forget that he's doing everything.
