Girls should buy there own wedding rings, they wouldnt be looking at fancy rings anymore! Gimmie gimmie gimmie
Then we wouldn't have to marry guys! good idea!
ya wonder why lesbos never have huge rings

I still dont see why the guy has to buy HER a ring SHE wants no matter the price and if she dont get what she wants she gets pissed. If I was gonna buy her a ring it would be like a present sure give me a little idea but whats wrong with the thought the GUY puts into it and her liking it because he tried his best from his heart? It should be the thought that counts not 5-10k rings, for that I would NEVER spend, 1k is a little crazy for a ring, but if shes nice every night at bedtime I migght be able to look the other way a bit

p.s. I am sick of the money hungry girls anyway its 2008 if she wants a 8k ring, so do I and she can pay for mine! (or my choice of bling earrings, necklaces etc )

You say you're tired of stereotypical girls about wanting big rings and stuff but you bring up sex...If you want others to change you have to be willing as well.

Message to men: DO NOT BUY THE RINGS OFF EBAY. That tells women you don't love them and you have no desire to actually put some thought into the ring.

that is the biggest crock of shit I have heard in a long time.

Re: Engagement ring prices

I don't know why people spend so much money on rings. My boyfriend said that he had this ring in mind from Tiffanys. It was so expensive that you could buy a BMW with the money it costs. I told him, you know what, if you ever bought that, I would never wear it because I would be so afraid of losing it. I said you would be stupid to do something like that. I know he most likely would never buy it anyway. But I went into a jewelry store one day and just started looking and I found one that I really liked. Later he goes, you know what, that is almost identical to the Tiffany's one that I saw. The one I want is like 3g's. But when we were in there they were planning on giving us a couple hundred dollars off which would end up to prob like $2,500 which isn't bad at all. I mean he bought me a "promise" ring for our one year anniversary for a couple hundred dollars and I get people asking me all the time, OMG is that an engagement ring? It honestly could pass for one. I mean I'm the type of girl that doesn't ask for much, I don't need the most expensive stuff and I definately wouldn't want a really expensive big ring because I don't want it to be "flashy." I just want something simple and cute.

Smart man. If she's happy, you're happy.

Thanks, I'm flattered.

I never said I wanted something super expensive-just something I wanted to wear. Like you guys aren't going to wear ugly clothes-girls don't want to wear an ugly ring for the next 50 years. It might be superficial, but I'm not married to you. In fact, I [b]DID pay for my first ring in my first marriage (let's open another can of worms while we're at it) and it was about $1700.

Re: Engagement ring prices

lets face the facts, i will only spend the amount of money i think its right when that time comes. something i like, something i think she will like. now i cant tell you how much i would spend on the ring but i will try to keep it average.

all based on what kinda ring she would like, how much im willing to spend based on my funds etc. if the ring cost too much or too little and people will talk. then honestly i can give a flying fuck about it. its all about what i like and what my future bride likes.
