Your only customers are the people who come in the store and want coffee. I guess the only thing she could possible do better is have some sort of promotional deals. I dunno, Albertsons is crap and if she didn't care about it as much she probably could have pointed out that if the GM got more people into the store her sales would probably increase.

You are held responsible for sales figures that you, in your job function, could not possibly affect. It happens every day in almost every industry.
Yeah, I guess it depends on the business you work for and the people directly over you as well. I agree that it happens all the time, just pointing out how stupid it is.
