I'm excited about this game being released, and will be purchasing a PS3 at the same time. Awesome thing about the game is that DLC (downloadable content) will be available every week. So far, from browsing through their forums, I am assuming this game will not be as difficult as the Guitar Hero series (particular 3 with songs as Through the Fires and Flames).

I hear the drums are loud, I can't wait to annoy my roommates

PS3 bundle will be wireless, 360 will not. I think there might be a ps2 version, but you'll have to use the Guitar Hero 3 guitar.

No, but does this have anything to do with the video game "Rock Band?"

I haven't, but I love In Flames (another nordic band) are they anything similar?

The Guitar Hero series has been known to make it a pain in the ass for 3rd party companies to make guitars for them, by making a GH1 guitar from a 3rd party not compatible with GH2 and so on. Rock Band claims to support an open source for controllers, or something along the lines.

GH3 controllers have been known to work with Rock Band, albeit they are missing a few of the effects. Rock Band controllers however have been shown to not work with GH3. Most likely if you have any guitar from the guitar hero series, you can play rock band for the ps2 (If there is a version out for it, which I believe I read somewhere...)

I see.. I just comment because I saw a picture of the rockband guitar and it had buttons on the lower part of the fret board as well as up top. So I was under the impression that since the GH guitar doesn't have them, it wouldn't really work with Rockband.

How do you even know if the Rock Band guitar doesn't work with GH3 since the game/guitar are not out yet?
