Re: Google earth

yah, i like looking at military installations. most of the time they are basic cargo or bombers on the tarmac, most of the fighters are in the hangers or out practicing or fighting.

have you found area 51 yet?

Re: Google earth

I've looked at area 51 but it doesn't seem as big as I thought it would be. There's a bunch of hangars, some small buildings, but no big research facilities. Maybe they've got an underground superbase

Re: Google earth

You guys do realize google censors a lot of stuff that could be deemed "sensitive" right? Hell, I live near some oil refineries and natural gas tanks, and that whole section of town is blurred out on google maps. There have been a number of other censored items reported, and I wouldn't be surprised if things like air force bases and secret test sites had some censoring going on to, you know, keep us all guessing

Re: Google earth

A base I was stationed at in Africa for 2005-2006 is on Google maps.. not sure about Google earth. You can see the satellite images of the base and the are more resent than when I was there. The base has almost doubled in size and you can see some C-130s, CH-53s, CH-46s, and like two P-3 Orions.

Yeah.. that shouldn't be on there, if you ask me... btu maybe thats because I know what that "roof" belongs to...

I found my last car in my school parking lot haha, the exact car too. For some reason I always head to the Sphynx and the Great Pyramids....
