Geometry and Stats help

I am taking a higher level geometry class and I could use a little help. I talk to the teacher when I can, but i dunno if it's enough...Just wondering if there are geometry people out there willing to help when I have a question. The class is only once a week so there is time to respond when I do come up with a question....btw, the class is called "Euclidean/Non-Euclidean Geometry" it's a 3342 level class

I am also taking 2 stats class that I might need help in so I will throw that in too

Re: Geometry help

this one isn't geometry; it's stats, but I am hoping you guys can still help me out.

Given: a sample with 26 scores; sumation of Xi = 9638 and sumation(Xi)^2 = 3,587,566

Qu: Find Mean:
Variance:
The Standard Deviation:

I think I got the mean. I came up with 370.69. The I am getting a wacky number for the variance which I am sure is incorrect and once I get the Var, I know how to get SD.

Re: Geometry and Stats help

By (Xi)^2 I am to assume that that is SUMMATION(Xi - Mean)^2

Take that second summation and find its average -- thats your Variance -- same way how you found you mean.

Then take that number and find its square root - that the StDEV.

if you fart and no one hears it -- did you really fart?
