Kid Nation

how many have seen the show?

i like it, its nice to see what kids will do and how they think. it goes to show what they can accomplish even at their young age..

but reading online about it, i found so much crap about the show.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...091902635.html

funny how people say.. child abuse...

cause they had to push wagons etc.. i dont see it as a big deal , i think a lot of children today are babied way too much.

but over all i like the show.

some of the kids are cool as hell...

this kid is funny as hell!!!!

really smart kid!

those are a few that i like.... i also like the show cause it shows the change in children as they get older and expose to more of the world.. .the older kids showed it.

but over all, i hope the adults that watch the show, get a glimpse of what children can do, what influence they have on children... for example tonights show.. was about religion.... some, the way they talked about religion was from what they got from the parents, most didnt want to explore other religions, which IMO is not good.... they had the chooice to pick from a put put course or religious books, like the bibble etc.... they picked the religious books!

this show also teaches you the innocence of kids! which i find so wonderful. thats what we looked like when our brain was still clean and not damaged but life experiences and problems.

anyways , i like the show....lol

Re: Kid Nation

you can read what these kids say on some questions asked... im readin what the 2nd pic i posted.Alex said.

one question...

Who have been some of the worst U.S. presidents, and why?
George W. Bush, for leading us into a war without checking his facts first and for not having a clear plan prior to the invasion. He also suppressed anyone who wanted to question his decisions, which is against the American concept of free speech. William Harrison because he was too stupid to wear a coat at his inauguration speech, and caught pneumonia and died without doing anything in office.

that and everything he said.... this kid is my new hero! lol awesome!

Re: Kid Nation

Is this that kind of show the documents each kid as they grow up, and shows the changes in life? Like puberty, dating, school? Or am I thinking of a diff show?

Re: Kid Nation

diff show...

this show is about 40 kids, no adults left to run Bonanza in New Mexico. they have a town council of 4 kids and they have groups..

they set the rule, cook, work, etc. they are trying to run a town.

40 children, 40 days, no adults
eager to prove they can build a better world for tomorrow in the new reality series KID NATION.

Settling in Bonanza City, New Mexico, once a thriving mining town but now deserted, these Kids, ages 8 to 15 and from all walks of life, will build their own new world, pioneer-style. They will confront grown-up issues while coping with the classic childhood emotions of homesickness, peer pressure and the urge to break every rule. Episodes end with a town meeting in which the kids award one child a gold star worth $20,000, all leading to the grand finale, with an unimaginable test, the biggest awards and a special surprise for every child.

Re: Kid Nation

We've been watching the show. It's pretty interesting. I don't really know how it will end. Is there a grand prize -- other than the weekly gold stars? Or does "everyone" win if they make it to the end?

My guess is they are just dry, chapped, and cracked. It appears to be cold and windy (& dry) most of the time. Apparently they forgot to pack their Blistex. I noted it on one girl real bad.
