Re: Handicap parking fraud

I get so pissed at people who park in the handicap spots, without a sticker or placard...and it's a $350 fine for the first time...

A few years back, my boss' wife (also the VP of the company) parked in the only empty spot in our lot, which happened to be the only handicap spot...anyway, she got a ticket for $350, even though she and her husband owned the company and the land the parking lot is on...

The law in CA is that no one can park in a handicap spot, unless that person (not car) is properly authorized to park in that spot, no matter if the spot is on public or private land...

Re: Handicap parking fraud

i valet at a hospital and its pretty sad how far the handicap parkin is from the front door. right in front they built a huge marble fountain with benches and then there is parkin but the worst part bout it is the handicap parkin is no joke further than regular parking. a lot of times people come up complainin and they cant afford to valet so i just let them park up front in my valet lane for free. it just disgusts me

Re: Handicap parking fraud

remember corbet, it's about the size of the spot and not just the proximity to the entrance. some of the vans and such need more space and they need more room just to use a wheelchair from a normal car.

anyways, i am a punisher, so i never let that sh*t slide without at least saying something if i see it.
