night driving

i don't expect any replies off this, but i just wanted to share...

i love driving in the middle of the night
i just did a drive from kutztown, pa to state college, pa
i left ktown at about 2 AM and got to state college at 5

it was the best drive ever
the roads were empty (especially getting closer to state college)
i was able to go whatever speed i want (i was in no rush so i did the speed limit and got AWESOME gas mileage)
this drive usually takes 2 hours and some change going the speed of traffic (10 over the limit) and i get pretty good MPG (normally 27-29)

i am going to try to save my long drives for the early AM hours now

Re: night driving

I haven't been out of the house late enough, but around my area, you can usually hear the ricers either drifting on the roads or doing other things.

Re: night driving

I work Nightshift at my job so I always get the nightyly drive on the Highways.
I head in around 1-1:30PM so I beat rush hour getting to work. I leave anywhere from 12AM-3AM depending on how tired I feel or if I need some OT. It's Awesome to just drive and not worry about too many other people on the road. Just have to be careful on end of the month time when cops start hanging out at speed traps.

Mods: CP-E CBE(racepipe), CPE CAI, Corksport mm inserts, TWM shifter bushings, . 235/40/18 Falken Azenis st615. Fuck Mazda North America-Will blame any failure on your mods.

What do you do for a living that requires you to work so late?

Work for a company owned by GE Aviation called Unison. We build exciter and ignition systems for aircraft, missles, and helicopters, as well as harnesses and plugs. Everything that flies has one of our parts on it. The new GEnx engine utilizes 147 of our parts.
