Re: "survivorman" vs. "man vs. wild"

I wish Youtube would work at my office. Sigh. I prefer Survivor man. Les Stroude seems much less of a fraud. Heck he even had an episode on who they make survivor man and fully admited that he scouts the areas ahead of time and a few times even had people show up while he was 'surviving' for a week. In one case he was dog sleding in Labrador for an episode and some snowmobilers showed up and offered him tea and a snack but he turned them down (they recognized him as well) because he was making his show.

Man vs Wild however is a total fraud. I can't remember where I saw the clip, but there is a clip of him carefully crossing a lava crevice to get to the other side cause he had to travel in that direction. Someone went to the site of the shooting and filmed the lava crevice...which ended 60ft away that he could have walked around and there was also a major highway running maybe a mile off in the distance.

At least Les ends up going to truely deserted places to survive.

It wouldn't suprise me if Bear eats normal meals while the cameras are off.

I used to love Man vs. Wild until I saw that clip. I've yet to see Survivorman.

yea...survivorman ftw!!! Les has all kinds of balls since he has to tape himself...and has to double step when he wants to get a shot of him walking up the frigging mountain and has to walk back down to get the camera crap and then walk back up with the camera gear.

Also I hear that man vs wild puss gets some help from the crew like helping build shelters and sometimes gives him food...boo to that!!

Re: "survivorman" vs. "man vs. wild"

heres the clip you are talking about...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=3UpSlpvb1is

EDITED... this one is good to:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fhVo5kIjiMw

i watched the man vs wild marathon on monday just for the hell of it because even it its fake its still interesting.. but it seems like they re-worded some of the narrating.. in parts it said my crew helped me out to speed up the process and things like that.. and it has a disclaimer after every commercial...

i just googled it... facts...

Re: "survivorman" vs. "man vs. wild"

Good to know they decided to throw some ethics in the narration and production of the show. I don't care to much that some of it is stages and fake, but they should not be trying to tell the audience that nothing is staged and he does it all on his own. Glad they decided to step up to the plate and change that.
