Transmission Fluid

Yeah so my friend was changing the transmission fluid on his wrx, he unscrewed the plug without knowing there wasnt a bucket underneath him and it spilled everywhere on my driveway. Now it smells horrible everytime i go near that area.. is there something i can use to cleanse it so it wont smell and stain the driveway? =/

Re: Transmission Fluid

Try some muratic acid. mix it with water then scrub it. Worst comes to worst use full strength, but dont let it sit on there to long

very dangerous stuff. you can get bottles of it at home depot/lowes. cheap stuff but very very poisonous.

Re: Transmission Fluid

Ya its something like 2$ a gallon at ur home depot, lowes, menards. Its acid, you know the chemical that eats away at things. Same as hyrdocholoric acid. Id mix it 1:3 (acid/water) first couple times and scrub. go stronger is needed.

Cheapo fix would be to pour some cat litter over it and let it sit for a week. It should work it soaks up oil, and oil is much thinker.
