Hello McKinley Dads,
We are sure many of you have heard that McKinley is invited to play in the Burlingame School Softball Tournament. Joe Dito recently sent out an email with an attachment describing the event and the dates. If you didn't receive the email here is a brief overview.
We are going to put a team in the Burlingame School Softball Tournament to be played where the big boys play at AT&T park, using their field, their dugouts, their scoreboard, their women, and their salaries!! Got carried away, no women and no salaries. We need to field a strong team to represent our local Bulldogs and show the rest of Burlingame that you don't mess with the East side schools. With this in mind we will begin holding sign ups and practices as soon as possible. Please respond back to this email with your intentions for this tournament. Remember if you can't be an athlete you can be an athletic supporter.!! (5$ for fans to come watch ..can bring coolers with beer!!)
A few important rules: You must have a student attending McKinley as of September 2007 and be a member of the McKinley Dads club. So Alumni, go play at BIS ...We can only field 12 players so it is important to here from you now so we can get a feel for how many Dads are interested in this once in a life time experience. If you are not interested in playing in the tournament but would like to help, please voice your interest. Our initial thought is to have practice the 4th Tuesday of the month starting July 24th (field and time to be announced). As we get feedback from players we can adjust the practice date and as we get closer to the tournament date we will add practice dates.
When responding please provide dates you are available to practice, your Major league affiliation, softball affiliation, cup size (infielder or outfielder), and years of experience.
This is going to be a great event and we are looking forward to seeing everyone on the field.
