Mazda Roadside Assistance Blues

so i've had my brand new car for only a few weeks now. this past weekend i was at the HBGTuned meet in York, Pa, which by the way was a lot of fun. so my friend decides to lock my keys in the trunk during the meet (unintentionally of course). im thinking oh great this blows but THANK GOD FOR MAZDA ROADSIDE! sweet deal right? the first TEN TIMES i call them i get no answer. wtf?? what if it was an emergency? what if i locked my kid in the car with the windows up or something? finally i get thru. the lady was very nice on the phone even tho she needed to know EVERYTHING about my car. they asked me if i had leather or cloth?? like it really matters. but anyway she promised they'd be out within an hour.

so about 45minutes later this AAA truck pulls up right thru all the cars with his yellow roof lights flashing (embarrasing me of course lol). He gets out and its this 60 yr old slightly retarded guy (sorry if im not being PC here). i inquire as to what method he will use to get my door unlocked and he proceeds to tell me that he has a hammer in the bed of his truck (wtf hes gonna break my window???). i knew he wasnt serious so i sat by and took pictures. he puts this device in the door and pumps it full of air. this pulled the door out slightly so he could stick his tool inside the car. the tool was a 3ft rod bent into a 3in x 3in square at the end. he sticks this inside the car to flip the lock. boom. it worked. i lunged for the trunk lever and popped the trunk open so i could shut the alarm off. sweet thanks dude. then i open the door and look the the jamb and the edge of the door. all scratched the fuck up. i go up to the dude and say hey u fucked up my car whos gonna take care of it. he goes on to say that i should get a can of touch up at the dealer. im like oh yea how bout i pay my touch up guy to do it for me. who the fuck gets the bill?? he gets in his truck and leaves.

so i call mazda the other day and file a complaint. they get back to me this morning and i speak with a man named todd. todd works for AAA out in York, PA. todd tells me that when they send a lock out service to the scene, the technician inspects the vehicle for any damages prior to service. the retard told his company that there were already scratches before he did any servicing. bullshit! he was just upset because i got up in his old man retard face. of course i'm upset now on the phone with todd. i tell todd that its BS, the car had less then 1500 miles on at the time of the incident and that i have PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE AND THE RETARD DOING IT! how did he think he was gonna get away with it??

so now i'm waiting for a call from AAA to tell me when they are coming out to apraise the damages on my car. i'll keep you all updated. thanks for reading 8)

Wow, that sucks that the guy lied and said the scratches were already there! I hope you get everything straightened out!

ya i'm confident that i'll be able to get them to repair all the scratches and the ripped tape. when it comes to things like this i dont back down easily. its not so much the scratches. its inside the door jamb and i can touch it with paint. but this is more of a principle thing. the guy was rude, didnt offer to take care of the situation and LIED to his boss to cover his ass. now its a whole new ball game. raise em up AAA

Yea i was over talking to JackassMazda05 about his Silver MZ6 and we were watching the AAA guy. We said that it looks like he's pissed that he got called out on a Sunday afternoon. I think my sister also got a picture of him.

I always have a copy of my key in my wallet. That way i always have a extra key to get in the car.
It only cost like $2 at Lowes or Home Depot to get a copy made.
