should i be worried about possible shadiness?

so i brought my new mazda3gt (1k miles) in to the dealership to get some rattling and wind noise checked up on. the service guys said that they checked it out and didn't find any rattling, but that the wind noise issue was a known issue and that mazda suggests a re-seating of the doors. so they said they would need to bring it to a body shop because reseating the doors you have to do a bunch of alignment and stuff (didn't totally understand). anyway, so i left the car there.

a couple days later i talk to them and the service guys tell me that while on the lot, some guy working there was using the pressure washer and he fell backwards and hit the door with his butt and put a big dent in it?! anyway, so they said that they would need to replace the door too, so the original door reseating that was only supposed to take a couple days would now take like a week to get the door replaced.

anyway, i left the car and went on vacation for 10 days, and they said they'd have it back by the time i got back. i get back, and the service guy tells me that the body shop actualyl hasn't even gotten the parts yet, and they wouldn't get it for another 2 days. i was supposed to get the car back on fri, but on friday the service guy said that they had replaced the door but that they hadn't done the door reseating and the wind noise tests yet, so they'd give me another call mon or tue. anyway, still havn't heard back from them.

bottom line, they've had my car since july 5th, its july 24th tomorrow!!! all for a door dent and wind noise tests?!?! anyway the thought occured to me, what if something worse happeend to my car on the lot, and they are just trying to fix it all, but what if my car isn't ever the same! i never acutally checked the car to see if there realyl was a door dent or not, i just assumed they were being honest about it. but really, i have no idea. should i be worried? or am i just being paranoid? thanks

[/quote]:lmao: I'm sorry, but that was hilarious.

And I wouldn't suspect that they did more damage than they told you. Body shops tend to take longer than they say because generally they are in no rush. When I took my car in to get fixed, I was initially told 1 month, I got it back 2.5 later...

And I assume they gave you a rental?

They aren't going to lie about there being minor damage when it's significant damage - if they got caught, they'd be in a LOT of trouble. There's no reason for them not to tell you - no matter what they did, they still have to fix it.
